B-Kleer™ BP 10 Cleansing Lotion (OTC Drug)

Q: Can Benzoyl Peroxide be irritating?

A: Yes, it is an irritant.  It can cause drying and peeling; along with mild redness and possible swelling if left on too long.

 

Q: How do I know what an adverse reaction is?

A:  Benzoyl Peroxide can also cause a brief tingling sensation or a warm feeling.  If this feeling lasts for more than 5 minutes, do not leave on as long the next time you use it.  If the situation does not improve, discontinue use.

 

Q:  If I find this to be too irritation, what should I do?

A:  If you still have it on, wash off with cool water immediately.  If should be not be left on for more than 2 minutes.  If your condition appears severe, apply and emollient such as petrolatum (Vaseline®)

B-Kleer™ 10 Lotion

Q:  Can I use this with an alcohol based astringent?

A:  No, they are too drying to the skin and cause additional oils to be secreted.  The use of AHA/Glycolic Acid will help keep this under control.  BHA (Salicylic Acid) products are also irritants and can cause some dryness.  There is no reason to cause or create more dryness than necessary.  New alcohol-free astringents or toners will give you much greater relief.

 

Q:  Can this product be used over the entire face?

A:  Yes, as well as other body parts.  However, you should use this as a spot treatment due to the concentration of acne-fighting ingredients.  This will work very well in conjunction with our Ultra 8 Skin Therapy or Ultra 15 Rejuvenating Gel, which would be applied over the entire face after B-Kleer™ Gel.

 

Q:  Can I use a skin lightening agent with this product?

A:  Yes, however, we highly recommend that you allow at least six months of regular daily use of a Glycolic Acid and/or Beta Hydroxy Acid product to take its full effect before using any skin lightening agent.  These products will inherently lighten discoloration so you may not need bleaching agents, at all.  If you do need one, should only be for spot treatment and for relatively short period of time (not more than 3 months as recommended by the FDA).

 

Q:  I have been on Accutane® but I had a little flare-up.  Can I use this product?

A:  Only if you have been off Accutane® for at least six months.  Accutane® remains in the body for months.  The two products can be used overly irritating when use simultaneously.

 

B-Kleer™ 15 Lotion

Q:  Can I start with this product?

A:  No, this product is too irritating for you skin.  Start with the B-Kleer™ 10 Lotion.  It will take your skin at least 6 months and up to a year of continuous use before it can handle the 15% lotion.
